Chantal Biya Int’l Cycling Tour preparations reach peak

Preparations for the the 23rd edition of the Grand Prix Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour, has reached its peak as several meetings held by the executive bureau of the Cameroon Cycling federation with her partners, local authorities and some top government officials.

On September 19 , both Honoré Yossi, President of the Cameroon Cycling Federation, CRTV’s GM Charles Ndongo and the top management of the state broadcaster, had a sincere and constructive exchange regarding the exclusive coverage of the bicycle Jamboree.

This year’s race, is marked by the donation of a Military helicopter, offered by the head of State, President Paul Biya for an efficient media coverage.

The competition gets underway on October 2-7, 2023. With the Cameroon Telecommunications company, CAMTEL as the official sponsor.

Official Grand Prix Chantal Biya International Cycling Race schedule:

3/10/2023 : 1st lap : Kribi-Kribi (109 km)

4/10/2023 : 2 lap: Yaoundé-Ebolowa-Nkolandom (165,2 km)

5/10/2023 :3rd lap Ebolowa-Mengong-Sangmelima (104,2 km)

6/10/2023 : 4th lap Sangmelima-Avébé-Mvomeka-Meyomesalla (96,3 km)

7/10/2023 : 5th lap : Zoétélé-Yaoundé (118,9 km)

Cameroon will be represented in the cycling competition, by the Cameroon National selection and the SNH Velo Club. Alongside some 10 nations, notably ; Morocco, Algeria,Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast,France, Slovakia and Benin. The cycling race shall end on October 8th, with the Ongola Grand Prix over a distance of 100km.
