CAFCL: The bout at St Mary’s as Vipers take on Guinean side

Vipers SC play Guinea giants Horoya Athletic Club at St Mary’s stadium on Saturday evening in their first ever Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champions league home encounter.

The venoms will forward look to bounce back after falling to heavy defeat in Casablanca last Friday.

Speaking to press on Friday , Coach Beto Bianchi expressed how the team is ready to over turn the past memories , put a fight to pick results once again.

“ We should quickly forget the first match against Raja Casablanca, and must now focus on what lies ahead of us.”

“It doesn’t help us to keep thinking of what has already happened, because we still have five games to play in the group stages, so the focus should be on getting the best results possible.”

“We have worked well, I have seen better reaction from the players during training. The intensity is good and am confident that our preparations give us an advantage against Horoya Athletic Club.”

Making a debut appearance in the CAF Champions league ,the venoms will strive hard to avoid defeat in kitende to boost their chances of storming the next round.

It should be remembered Horoya edged out Simba SC in a 1#0 victory at home in their first group game.
