Cameroonian assistant Referee, Atezambong Carine Fomo has been drafted into the top team of match officials for this Sunday’s match day three CAF Champions League game pitting Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa against Pyramids SC of Egypt.

The appointment from the refereeing arm of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the team in charge of the tough fixture via a notification sent to the concerned parties.

Regular playmate Pierre Ghislain Atcho and his Gabonese compatriot Boris Marlaise Ditsoga are the Referee and assistant respectively while Carine is the second assistant and her compatriot Effa Essoumba completes the all-UNIFFAC crew of officials to be assessed by Morocco’s Mohamed Guezazz.

This Sunday’s game at the Loftus Field Park is an opportunity for coach Rulani Mokoena’s team to provide a response to the 0-1 defeat last time against TP Mazembe, and reassert themselves as one of the clubs to watch in this season’s competition

2016 CAF Champions League winners, Sundowns currently have three points to their credit after two games just like the Blue Whales from Egypt.

Carine and co will certainly have a tough day at work as they attempt to be in charge of the game expected to be played on the pitch and in the stands especially by the Masandawa diehards.

The Cameroonian referee and her mates are no stranger to top matches, and have delivered, explaining why the 37-year-old Cameroonian has participated at a massive 11 international competitions plus over 50 Elite professional matches.
