Cameroonian assistant Referee, Atezambong Carine Fomo has been drafted into the top team of match officials for this Sunday’s match day three CAF Champions League game pitting Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa against Pyramids SC of Egypt.
The appointment from the refereeing arm of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the team in charge of the tough fixture via a notification sent to the concerned parties.
Regular playmate Pierre Ghislain Atcho and his Gabonese compatriot Boris Marlaise Ditsoga are the Referee and assistant respectively while Carine is the second assistant and her compatriot Effa Essoumba completes the all-UNIFFAC crew of officials to be assessed by Morocco’s Mohamed Guezazz.
This Sunday’s game at the Loftus Field Park is an opportunity for coach Rulani Mokoena’s team to provide a response to the 0-1 defeat last time against TP Mazembe, and reassert themselves as one of the clubs to watch in this season’s competition
