The third edition of the N’djamena-Kousserie International Marathon, in its French acronym (MINKS), will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Absent for over three years now due to the COVID-19 pandemic and insecurity along the Lake Chad basin. This race will regroup athletes from 21 countries to compete over a distance of 21.100km.
In a press conference held on Thursday, May 4, in Yaounde, the head of the organizing committee, Honorable Kamsouloum Abba Kabir, explained that all conditions have been met so as to ensure the smooth return of this sports and cultural event.
“All the conditions are met for the relaunch of this activity demanded by foreign, Cameroonian, and Chadian athletes,” Hon. Kamsouloum Abba affirms.
Eight athletes from East Africa are expected to be part of this marathon. Recognized by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) three years ago, this competition will welcome experts from the CAA who will supervise the smooth running of activities.
