Moumi Ngamaleu’s Dynamo Moscow has bowed out of the Russian Cup after their 1:4 loss to Akron Togliatti on penalties in the regions path eight final.
The match which ended on a goalless draw after intense 90 minutes of play at the Dinamo Lev Yashin Stadium on Tuesday, was decided by penalty shootouts which the host fared poorly.
Ngamaleu was part of the starting line-up, offering a three star performance in his 89 minutes of play before being substituted by Daniil Lesovoy.
Dynamo Moscow was the better side upfront with more goal scoring opportunities created. The team however gave in to their opponents antics, who banked on their prolific shooters like Andrès Ponce to secure the win.
The defeat means the wait for a Russian Cup continues for the Cameroon international and his white-blue teammates.
