British-Cameroonian striker, Danny Namaso Loader, may be in action tonight for FC Porto as they take on Andre Onana’s Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 return-leg game.
The two Cameroonian counterparts will clash as Danny’s FC Porto are seeking passage into the last eight of the Champions League, though with a slim chance of going through.
Inter picked up a 1-0 win over Porto in round of 16 away leg game and it was Romelu Lukaku who gave Inter the 1-0 aggregate advantage as it stands now.
Onana who has been guarding Inter’s goalpost as regular starter in the competition, will certainly be the club’s first choice once again for this crucial tie.
Danny Loader was part of the squad that faced Inter Milan in the reversed fixture but watched the entire game from the bench.
He will be up against countryman, Onana, who has so far kept seven clean sheets and made 40 saves in 16 games.
The 22-year-old counts just about 28 appearances for Porto since 2021. England’s National selections is where Danny has made several appearances.
He was in September 2022, shortlisted to by head coach of the Cameroon team, Rigobert Song, to play a couple of friendly matches during the international break but was not retained in the final squad.
Porto will host Inter Milan at the Estádio do Dragão stadium tonight at 9pm.
