Indomitable Lions head coach David Pagou has urged Cameroonian football fans to turn Japoma Stadium into a sea of green, red and yellow when the national team hosts Namibia on November 12 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

With an important Group G encounter approaching, Pagou believes the supporters’ presence and encouragement could provide the extra motivation his players need to secure a crucial home victory against the Brave Warriors.

In a passionate appeal to the country’s football community, the Cameroon manager called for a full house in Douala, encouraging fans to reconnect with the national team and create an intimidating atmosphere for the visitors.

“Dear Indomitable Lions supporters, on November 12, let us fill the entire Japoma Stadium in Douala!” Pagou said.

“Our Lions will face Namibia in 2027 AFCON Qualifier. It is time to bring back your enthusiasm, your passion and your unwavering support.

“Together, let us make the stands come alive and cheer our Indomitable Lions on to victory.”

The stakes are significant for Cameroon, who currently occupy first place in Group G with four points from their opening two matches. Namibia are close behind with three points, level with Comoros, making the November encounter particularly important in the race for qualification.

Pagou has already named a 28-player squad for the upcoming double-header against Namibia, with preparations expected to begin on November 8 as the technical staff intensify their work ahead of the decisive assignments.

However, the Lions will have to navigate the first encounter without Manchester United midfielder Carlos Baleba. The former Brighton player has been ruled out after sustaining a hamstring injury during Manchester United’s 3-2 UEFA Champions League victory over AS Roma.

His absence deprives Pagou of an important midfield option, although the coach will hope that the other members of his selection can rise to the occasion and deliver the desired result.

With Namibia equally determined to challenge for the group’s leading position, Cameroon will need more than home advantage to overcome their opponents. A strong performance, backed by an enthusiastic crowd, could prove vital.

Pagou’s message is clear: he wants Japoma packed, the atmosphere electrifying and the Indomitable Lions playing with the full backing of their supporters as Cameroon continue their quest for a place at AFCON 2027.
