Cameroon international Karl Etta Eyong marked his return to La Liga action with a stoppage-time goal as Levante claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The 22-year-old forward, who has been one of Cameroon’s exciting attacking prospects in Spain, came off the bench in the 72nd minute to replace Petar Ratkov. Eyong made his presence felt late in the contest, showing his striker’s instinct to put the finishing touch on Levante’s victory.

Roger Brugué had given the hosts a commanding advantage with goals in the 20th and 22nd minutes before Athletic Bilbao reduced the deficit through Alex Berenguer’s 67th-minute penalty. The visitors’ hopes of a comeback suffered another blow when Aymeric Laporte was sent off in the 73rd minute.

Eyong sealed the victory deep into stoppage time, scoring in the 98th minute after Unai Simón had initially saved an effort. His goal capped a memorable return to the Spanish top flight and provided another encouraging moment for Cameroonian football, as the young forward continues to establish himself in one of Europe’s major leagues.
