Cameroon will take centre stage at the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League final in Egypt, with a strong presence among the match officials for the showdown between AS FAR of Morocco and ASEC Mimosas of Côte d’Ivoire on 21 November at the Ismailia–Suez Canal Stadium.

Leading the delegation is Aline Marie Noelle Guimbang Etong, appointed as centre referee for the final. Her selection underlines CAF’s confidence in her authority, consistency, and rising stature in African women’s football officiating.

She is joined by Charlotte Pelagie Mouasso Eyoum as Media Officer, Carine Atezambong Fomo as Second Assistant VAR, and experienced administrator Yoane Claude Elong Bebey as Assistant General Coordinator. Together, they form one of the largest national contingents in the final, a clear signal of Cameroon’s ability to produce top-level officials.

The rest of the officiating team spans the continent, including officials from Mali, Zambia, Togo, Tunisia, Nigeria, Senegal, Namibia, South Africa, Egypt, Rwanda, and Mauritius. Among them are Fanta Idrissa Koné of Mali as Assistant Referee 1, Nancy Kasitu of Zambia as Assistant Referee 2, and Vincentia Enyonam Amedome of Togo as Fourth Official. Fatou Gaye of Senegal and Shilene Margaret Booysen of South Africa add further technical depth to the team.

Cameroon’s strong showing is more than symbolic. It reflects years of investment in training elite officials and the country’s growing reputation in women’s football governance. With Guimbang Etong in charge on the field and her compatriots in key roles off it, Cameroon’s influence will be felt throughout the 2025 final.

The clash between AS FAR and ASEC Mimosas promises high intensity and continental bragging rights, but the spotlight will also shine on Cameroon for producing some of Africa’s finest refereeing talent.
