PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda are on the verge of signing Serge Yesi, the influential captain of Stade Renard de Melong, kick442.com has gathered from Miracle Child.

Negotiations between the two clubs are said to be at an advanced stage, with only minor details left before the deal is sealed. The move comes as coach Tama Wango continues to reinforce his squad ahead of the new MTN Elite One season.

Yesi, a product of EEMSA of Tiko, has steadily risen through the ranks of Cameroonian football thanks to his leadership, technical intelligence, and tactical awareness. After impressing with Colombe of Dja and Lobo, he joined Stade Renard, where he quickly established himself as one of the team’s most dependable figures.

The 27-year-old midfielder captained the Melong-based outfit for two consecutive seasons, guiding them through several competitive campaigns and earning widespread respect for his maturity on and off the pitch.

His ability to control the tempo, break lines with precise passing, and inspire teammates has made him a target for several Elite One clubs, but PWD Bamenda appear to have won the race for his signature.

If finalised, Serge Yesi’s move to the Abakwa Boys will not only bring leadership and stability to the midfield but also underline PWD’s ambition to reassert themselves among the elite of Cameroonian football.
