The excitement was palpable this Monday morning at Douala International Airport as Cameroonian side, FC Ebolowa Filles departed for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
The team is heading to Malabo to participate in the Central African Football Federations’ Union (UNIFFAC) zonal tournament, a qualifier for the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League.
A delegation of 25 people, composed of 18 determined players and 7 staff members, boarded the flight with a single objective in mind: to secure the coveted ticket to the final phase of the continental tournament. Their departure marks the beginning of an adventure that could see them face Africa’s top teams and proudly represent Cameroon.
FC Ebolowa, a true rising force in Cameroonian women’s football, is in full preparation for this major challenge. The club is confident in its chances of performing well and qualifying.
