As the Matchday two encounter between Niger Tornadoes FC and Enyimba FC gathers momentum, the attacking duo of Sarki Ismaila and red hot Terdoo Shimagande have thrown down the gauntlet to their tomorrow’s opponents as the Ikon Allah Boys eyes a positive result at the elephant park.

The two teams have a history of competitiveness, as evidenced by their pulsating 1-1 draw in Aba last season. Joseph Godstime had given Niger Tornadoes the lead, but Chinedu Ufere equalized for Enyimba FC in a classic contest that showcased the high level of competitiveness in the NPFL.

Sarki Ismaila, a former Enyimba player who joined Niger Tornadoes fold mid last season said his team mates are aware of the task ahead and ready for the battle. While the Ikon Allah Boys lone scorer in midweek against Nasarawa United, Terdoo Shimagande is eyeing more goals as the former Heartland player, known for his prolificness in front of goal targets Enyimba’s scalp.

In their last meeting, Enyimba snatched a painful win in Lafia against Niger Tornadoes and the strikers have vowed to get their points back.

Addressing the team shortly before their shake up at the Enyimba Int’l stadium, Coach Majin Mohammed cautioned his players to approach the match with the right mentality and mindset, emphasizing the need to focus on executing their game plan effectively.

Meanwhile, Niger Tornadoes will be without Godstime for this match due to an injury he sustained in the last game. Despite this setback, the team remains optimistic about securing a positive result.
