U-20 Indomitable Lions of Cameroon picked up a comfortable 4-0 win against their Central African Republic counterpart on Wednesday in their first outing of the Union of Central African Football Federation (UNIFFAC) U-20 tournament in Brazzaville.

Victoria United’s Nathan Douala scored and assisted while Yvan Nana, Harouna Djibrine and Laurent Esounga got the other goals to secure another win for coach Yvan Kenmoe.

Cameroon who were on standby on match day one of the five-nation tournament enter activity in style.

Nathan Douala benefited from an early defensive lapse to put the ball pass Eugene Fulgence Thubault Ganazoui and make it one-nil for Cameroon early into the contest.

Yvan Nana made it 2-0 for Cameroon before Nathan played it Arouna to get the third for the UNIFFAC giants.

Forward Matam Angel Yondjo was having a quiet afternoon but other sources showed up for the team as substitute Laurent Esounga completed the rout with the fourth goal to mark a great start for Cameroon that failed to impress during the last edition of the competition.

The 4-0 win and clean sheet for PWD’s Ning Che Bong Kadad puts the team in ahead of CAR in Pool B though both nations are level on points and Cameroon have a game in hand.

Cameroon will take on pointless Gabon in their next outing of the competition.
