Vincent Aboubakar has signed a one-year deal with Hatayspor after parting ways with Beşiktaş. The 32-year-old striker, who has been a stalwart for the Cameroon national team, brings a wealth of experience to the struggling Turkish side, currently sitting near the bottom of the Süper Lig.
Aboubakar’s departure from Beşiktaş follows a tumultuous period where he fell out of favor, despite a commendable record of 60 goals and 14 assists in 117 appearances.
His previous stints at Beşiktaş saw him clinch two league titles and two Turkish Cups, showcasing his knack for finding the back of the net in crucial moments.
Hatayspor’s management hailed the acquisition as a “blockbuster” signing, emphasizing Aboubakar’s proven track record and leadership qualities.
