Sivasspor forward Clinton Njie, have been declared unfit for the lions clash against the Teranga Lions of Senegal, in their day two fixture at the ongoing 34th edition of the TotalEnergies Africa Nations Cup in Ivory Coast.
Clinton Njie picked an injury during the Indomitable lions training session, held on January 17, in Yamoussokro. Though not serious, the fast forward dribbler has join Aboubakar Vincent and Christopher Wooh in the lions Infirmary.
It should be noted that, Clinton Njie had failed to part-take in the Lions friendly game against Zambia, due to a knee injury. And was placed under a fourteen day medication surveillance, before the official debut of the competition.
The unexpected information regarding Clinton’s injury, was officially made public via a tweet by the State-run media.
Head coach Rigobert Song, who looked reassuring during the traditional pre-match conference, said the team is poised on grabbing her first three points against Senegal.
A game expected for team Cameroon, to correct the poor soccer display against the Syli National of Guinea Conakry, in her opening game. He ended by saying, every play will be placed on their usual playing positions.
