The 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) season now has a kick off date.
The third season of the league is set to kick off on April 22, 2023, in Kebbi State.
This was confirmed in a circular signed by the NBSL Coordinator who doubled as the President of the African Beach Soccer Union, Mahmud Hadejia to all state Beach soccer association secretaries, State Football Association Secretaries, and all male Beach soccer clubs.
Preparation for the season opener will witness club licensing and registration.
Club registration will commence on March 30 and close on April 10 including players’ licenses with a registration fee fixed at N100,000 (one hundred thousand Naira).
A virtual club licensing and coaching is also expected to commence on April 12, 2023, before the season opener in Kebbi.
The 2023 season is the third edition after its maiden edition in 2021.
More teams are expected to join the league given the recent spread in the development of Beach soccer across the country.
Kebbi Fishers won the made edition in 2021 while Kada BSC clinched the 2022 league title.
