Elite One side Dynamo Douala have confirmed the signing of Arrey Jefter, captain of ISOHSA Limbe and a Cameroon U-20 international, on a one-year deal ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
Jefter, who made history by scoring ISOHSA’s first-ever goal in the Elite Two championship, joins Dynamo in what marks a major step up in his career, as he prepares to compete in Cameroon’s top division for the first time.
The 21-year-old midfielder had turned down a similar approach from Dynamo last summer before agreeing terms this time around, with former Cameroon international Esa Pius and head coach Soh Simplice instrumental in finalizing the deal.
The move was announced through a post by sports journalist Evra Geraud, later shared by Afeseh Apong, showing Jefter signing his contract alongside Dynamo officials at the club’s Douala headquarters.
A graduate of Continental FA, Jefter rose to prominence at ISOHSA, where he led the Limbe-based club as captain during their promotion to Elite One and earned recognition for his leadership, composure, and technical quality in midfield. His arrival adds creativity and youthful energy to Dynamo’s engine room as the club prepares for a new domestic campaign.
Dynamo Douala have also strengthened their squad with several other additions, including Jules Armand Kooh, Arrey Ferdinand, and other promising talents. Under coach Soh Simplice, the club is focused on rebuilding around a mix of youth and experience to restore its competitive stature in the top tier.
For Jefter, the move to Dynamo represents both a reward for his consistency and an opportunity to showcase his potential on a bigger stage — a progression that underlines the pathway from Cameroon’s youth and lower divisions to the elite level.
