Ghana legend, Ibrahim Sunday has added his voice to the discussion about the transfer of Mohammed Kudus to West Ham United.

The 23-year-old crossed carpet from Eredivisie club, Ajax to the Hammers in a deal worth €45 million including add-ons.

Sunday, who won the African Footballer of the Year award in 1971, had this to say about Kudus’ move to the London stadium.

“He knows better than us, I think he just didn’t move just anyhow.

“He thought about it and he is a good player, he is a talented player and I wish him the best of luck.

“And I hope that he will do better at West Ham than where he was [Ajax].” Ibrahim Sunday told Radio Gold Sports.

Kudus made his dream Premier League debut as West Ham defeated new boys, Luton Town by 2-1.

A 90th minute appearance for last season’s Europa Conference League winners will a feather in Kudus’ tea cup.
