The management of Cotonsport of Garoua have opened legal proceedings to probed into the absence of their midfielder Kaiba Djawal who has defected club commitments.

kick442.com has exclusive information that the club has notified competent institutions including FIFA about the absence of Kaiba since they return to Garoua after games against Al Ahly, Al Hilal SC and Avion Academy.

Kaiba, 20, is believed to be out of Garoua for undisclosed reasons, explaining his absence from Coton training since Monday, March 13.

The midfielder’s last game for the current Cameroon champions was the 0-1 defeat to Avion Academy last Tuesday in Douala.

kick442.com can’t independently confirm suggestions that the player is away to deal with formalities related to a transfer to Europe but earlier this year multiple sources reported the player had agreed to join SCR Altach.

Sources which we elect to withhold have confirmed Cotonsport will take legal action against the player and report the case to FIFA.

Kaiba has spent four seasons at Cotonsport and played a pivotal role in their 2022 double winning season through his goals and assists.
