  • Ngange and Ashu have been a mainstay for ISOHSA this season
  • Ngange goals home with the November player of the month award while Ashu bags the goal of the month award

Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) midfield duo Nganje Jnr Nelson and Ashu Brice Tabi have been voted player of the month and scorer of the goal of November 2023.

The second tier championship side made the announcement via their social media handles on Friday, December 8 while displaying the players contribution to what was a great month per some of the historic results.

Ngange helped his club to wins against Rangers of Bafut, Leopard Sportif of Douala and a draw against FAP as the club charged into the top four playoff positions of the abridged championship.

Operating either as a holding midfielder or a central defender, the 18-year-old versatile player delivered for coach Nlend Ayme’s team. Ngange highlighted his great month with the wondergoal he scored in the 6-0 win against Rangers of Bafut in Limbe – beating the keeper with a long range low effort from about 35 meters away.

Ashu on his part had a great month. He could have been a winner as well if there were two prices on offer, but he settled for the goal of the month award.

The skipper scored two free-kicks across the month including a 25 yard effort which earned him the goal of the month award.

It is the first time this season that the Elite Two newcomers are engaged in such a venture, but club sources have told kick442.com that it will continue in the same manner across the season.

Both players have developed a reputation as the mainstay at the club since joining the project. Ngange is in his third season at ISOHSA while Ashu joined in the build up to last season from defunct Limbe Football Club Association where he was also president.

Ngange and Ashu will be handed their trophies in the days ahead – most likely in the club’s next home game against Leopard Sportif of Douala on Saturday, December 16 at the Limbe Centenary stadium.
