Since the resumption of the elite two championship, Foncha Street FC has been scoring goals for fun.

The Bamenda-based club has scored 6 goals in their last two matches and 5 of those goals have been scored by Njong John.

Njong John has made just three appearances for Foncha Street FC, starting two of the matches and one from the bench.

Against AS FAP on match day 14, Njong John scored a hat trick to help his team with a 3#1 victory.

On match day 15 against OFTA Kribi, he scored a brace to take his tally to 5 goals in three appearances for Foncha Street FC.

The former LIFCA of Limbe, Santos FC and Rangers FC Bafut player has been nicknamed “John the Baptist” of Foncha Street FC as he scores crucial goals for his team.

The 23-year-old told kick442.com after his recent exploits that his motivation comes from hard work, concentration and discipline.

“Actually my hard work, concentration, discipline and above all prayers makes me to score goals. I will keep working hard to score more goals and help my team achieve the objective of qualifying into the elite one”, he said.

Njong John has put two Man of the Match performances in his last two matches.

He was awarded the Fongod Man of the Match award after his brace. The Fongod Man of the Match is an initiative of Fongod Edwin Nuvaga, an elite and football promoter of the North West region.
