With two delayed Day 13 matches of the MTN Elite 1 to be played Monday, February 20, 2023, the verdict of matches played have been rendered.

In 8 matches played, a total of 9 goals were scored. Canon of Yaounde has the biggest win so far with a 2#0 victory over Avion Academy.

POOL A

Canon 2#0 Avion Academy

Marius Ngon A Tati and Ngah Fabrice Gael scored for Canon Yaounde. The victory takes Canon to the second spot with 20 points, 1 behind UMS. While Avion Academy remains rooted in the bottom of Pool A.

Stade Renard 1#0 Renaissance

Amih Renzo scored the lone goal to win all three points for Stade Renard of Melong. The victory takes Stade Renard to 18 points while Renaissance remains in the relegation zone with 11 points.

– Colombe 0#1 PWD Bamenda

Heka Ebongue scored the lone goal for PWD Bamenda thanks to an assist from Ateba Leonel. It was Heka’s first start of the season for PWD after joining them from NGV. The victory is PWD’s fourth of the season.

– Aigle Royale 1#1 UMS

Aigle Royale of Menoua and UMS played a one all tie in Bamendzi. Marcelin Adimana scored for Aigle while Desmond Kameni scored for UMS. Aigle now has 17 points and are 5th while UMS remains top of Pool A with 21 points.

Eding Sport 1#0 Coton Sport

Harrison Ford Djonkep scored the lone goal for Eding Sport to inflict Coton’s second defeat of the season. The victory takes Eding Sport to 17points.

POOL B

– YOSA 0#0 Union

Both teams separated on a zero all tie. After their victory against Bamboutos, this draw means that YOSA has now picked up 4 points out of a possible 6. YOSA now has 13 points while Union has 18 points.

Bamboutos 1#0 YAFOOT

Junior Kemajou was on target for the Mangwa Boys as they returned to winning ways after loosing 2#1 last time out against YOSA. The victory against YAFOOT consolidates their top spot in Pool B. Kemajou Junior scored a 61st minute penalty he won for Bamboutos FC

– Gazelle FA 0#1 Les Astres

Astres of Douala picked up their second consecutive victory in the league. After defeating Union last time out, Astres went up North and picked up all three points against Gazelle FA. Julian Kamta scored a penalty for Astres.

Two Pool B matches will be played this Monday.
