Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda has grabbed all three points against Dragon of Yaounde in a day 15 encounter of the MTN Elite One championship.

With both teams fighting against relegation, they both needed all three points.

It was Yong Sports Academy that gave the first punch in the 15th minute of play when Mael Dindjeke deflected a throw-in that went straight to Tengemo Emmanuel who scored to give YOSA the lead.

The goal changed the tempo of the match as YOSA continued to dominate possession of the match.

Their domination paid off 10 minutes later when Njibero Durell with a beautiful pass found Nchindo John Bosco who fired past goalkeeper Joseph Essedi to double YOSA’s lead.

Dragon Yaounde then created some chances through Koloko Vivien Frederic and Success Shalom Fofe. But their chances were dealt with by a vigilant Ekoi Manfred who was at goal for YOSA.

In the 39th minute, Njongmu Rudolf played a beautiful through pass to Mael Dindjeke who scored to give YOSA a three goals advantage at half-time.

Upon resumption of the second half, Dragon Yaounde brought in Bito’o Franky and Ebeny Beko Chris. The new players added flair to the Dragon attack as they became more dangerous and started creating chances.

Five minutes into the second half, Koloto Vivien Frederic scored for Dragon to reduce the score line.

Dragon Yaounde had a goal disallowed for a foul on goalkeeper Ekoi Manfred in the 70th minute of the match.

Three minutes to the end of the match, substitute Bito’o Franky scored for Dragon as YOSA was bow under pressure.

Nchindo John Bosco missed a penalty for YOSA in added time as all efforts from Dragon to level scores were futile.
