Nchindo John Bosco was on target for Yong Sports Academy as they defeated Fauve Azur in a day 19 match of the MTN elite one championship. The match was played Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Mbouda Municipal stadium.
YOSA got into the match knowing that a win will keep their survival hopes alive.
YOSA dominated the opening minutes of the match with Nchindo John Bosco mesmerizing the defenders of Fauve Azur but failing to find the back of the net.
Fauve Azur via Junior Kaaba and Djessi caused a lot of problems in the YOSA defense but their incursions were dealt with by Acha Lovis and Aminu Iliasu who were at the heart of YOSA’s defense.
Just before the break, Nchindo John Bosco again came close to scoring but his shit went off target. Both sides went into the break with no goal on either side.
Upon resumption of the second half, coach Anumewa Franklin brought in Mael Dindjeke in place of Tanwie Leonel who was below expectation in the first half.
Mael Dindjeke added some impetus to YOSA’s attack as they continued to dominate possession of the match.
YOSA’s dominance paid off in the 85th minute of the match when Mael Dindjeke chased down a lost ball and found Nchindo John Bosco in the 18-yard area. His left-footed strike found the back of the net as YOSA picked up all three points.
The victory takes YOSA to 21 points while Fauve Azur is stuck with 23 points.
