Day 14 matches of the MTN Elite 1 championship have rendered their verdict.

Astres of Douala versus AS Fortuna fixture produced the highest number of goals for this match day with 5 goals scored.

All two North West representatives; YOSA and PWD fell short of glory as they were defeated 1#0 by Apejes and UMS respectively.

Nlend Anise opened scores for Aigle of the Menoua before the youngster, Pondi equalized for Djiko FC.

Avion 1#0 Stade Renard

Meng Steve scored the lone goal of the match for Avion as they returned to winning ways in the elite one championship.

– The match between Coton Sport and Colombe was postponed to March 12, 2023, due to Coton Sports’ involvement in the CAF champions league.

POOL B

Apejes 1#0 YOSA

Apejes came out of the relegation zone with a 1#0 victory against YOSA.

A second-half goal from Apam Joseph was all Apejes needed to grab all three points.

Fovu 1#1 Bamboutos

Junior Kemajou was once again on the score sheet for Bamboutos but his goal wasn’t enough to give Bamboutos all three points as Leonel Ntebeu scored for Fovu to make both sides separate on a parity.

Bamboutos remains top of Pool B with 24 points while Fovu is second with 22 points.

Fauve Azur 1#0 Dragon

Avom Arthur scored the lone goal of the match for Fauve Azur to help them move up to the third position with 20 points.

The defeat leaves Dragon at the bottom with 9 points.

– Astres 2#3 AS Fortuna

The fixture produced the highest number of goals for this match day.

Julien Kamta scored a first-half brace for Astres but it was canceled out by William Cele and Yuh Moses who ensured that the first half ended on a 2#2 score.

In the second half, Joseph Mbollo scored for AS Fortuna to hand them all three points.

– Union 0#1 Gazelle FA

Alexis Yougouda Kada was on target for Gazelle as they grabbed all three points against Union.
