Former FECAFOOT South West supremo Dr Ndive Thomas Mulungu who was pivotal in shaping the career of many young footballers within and beyond the region has been knighted in Limbe and elevated to the rank of senior notable.
Dr Ndive who played different crucial roles in football received a rare honor on Tuesday, January 3 for his immense contribution to the development of the city of Limbe.
The Paramount Chief of Limbe, His Royal highness John Elufa Manga Williams rallied a significant cast of notables in his palace to celebrate one of theirs who was recently appointed tender board chair of the Limbe Seaport Project.
The likes of the fleetfooted Junior George Tangko of PWD of Bamenda as well as abroad based Yoah Willybroad and Kum Switbert among others once had a push towards success in the game from the iconic administrator.
The move by the Paramount ruler comes weeks after Ndive started work in his Port role, but can also be seen as a response to the people’s call of appreciating the man who piloted the last Southwest outfit to the semi final of the cup of Cameroon six years ago.
Ndive’s reign as president of Victoria United FC brought that glory to Limbe and Southwest Football plus lots more.
These days the football enthusiast is fully focused on other business, especially on the daunting assignment of given him by the government of Cameroon.
The days ahead represents time for Dr Ndive to deliver again as many sons and daughters of Limbe and the region have done.
