Football Writer,kick442.com-Chindo Mitterrand turns down calls to return to YOSA-Cameroon
Former Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda president Chi Chindo Mitterrand has said no to supporters who reached out seeking his return to the helm of the club currently battling for their life in the MTN Elite One championship.
According to reliable information reaching the kick442.com, supporters of Yong Sport Academy had gathered and reached out to a parliamentarian from the Division of origin of the club to cause him to convince Chido to return to the club but the business magnet simply declined the offer for reasons he refused to reveal.
Last season, Mitterrand guided YOSA to arguably their best run in the MTN Elite One championship last decade as they came close to winning the championship if not that points were deducted from them during the playoffs.
He surprisingly left the club in the build up to this season when the club’s proprietors sold majority shares to Emma Mimba. His mark at the club helped Yong Nchang Chindo John Bosco earn a call up to the intermediate Lions which he skippers these days, plus win the recent Cameroon footballer of the year while Ndikum Blaise who he made head coach was also nominated for the coach of the season award. All these successes left those who continued after him have a huge void to fill.
Mimba’s early days as president of YOSA has been marked by sparks between him and the fans plus poor results amongst others.
The head coach of the club, Akosemoh Theodore stepped down this Monday, and fans want the head of the president as well, though he remains in charge and has the responsibility to steady the ship.
YOSA’s next outing will be against Cannon Yaoundé in a delayed match day 10 fixture which is an opportunity for them to get a second win of the season, against their fellow strugglers.
