19-year-old Cameroonian descent midfielder, Carlos Baleba Noom Quomah made his long-awaited debut for Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday on match day six of the English Premier League as his side came from behind to beat Bournemouth by 3-1.
The highly-rated Baleba, who joined Brighton during last summer transfer window from Lille came on in the 74th minute when the hosts were ahead by 2-1.
The Seagulls scored the three minutes upon his introduction, through fellow substitute Kaoru Mitoma, who completed his second-half brace and sealed the win in the game Dominik Solanke had caused an early scare by putting the visitors ahead.
Baleba, who nicknamed the new Patrick Vieira by some back at home completed 100% of his passes and won four duels, helping his club to an important victory this season.
The latest result takes points tally to 15 from five wins in six games this season – their best start since promotion to the Premier League.
Coach Di Zerbi’s side currently occupies the third spot on the log, going into their next League game against struggling Chelsea.
