Cameroonian striker Raphaël Messi Bouli has completed a move to Jamshedpur FC, the club confirmed on Tuesday, strengthening their attacking options ahead of the new Indian Super League (ISL) season.

The 33-year-old joins from East Bengal FC, where he spent the previous campaign and became known for his physical presence and tireless work rate in attack.

Bouli, a former player of Apejes of Mfou in Cameroon, has enjoyed a well-travelled career that includes spells with Hebei Zhongji in China and Mes Kerman in Iran.

Capped several times by the Cameroon age category teams, Bouli arrives the club with huge club and international experience.

Jamshedpur FC are hoping the experienced forward’s arrival will boost their attacking efficiency as they aim for a stronger finish in the upcoming ISL campaign.

“Bouli’s experience and versatility will be key for us this season,” a club statement read. “He adds power and depth to our forward line.”

Bouli becomes one of several African players to feature in India’s top flight, continuing a growing trend of seasoned internationals making their mark in South Asian football.
