Agbor Ernest Ako has been appointed coach of struggling Cameroon Elite One championship side Bamboutos FC of Mbouda barely two weeks after parting ways with rivals Bamboutos FC of Mbouda.
The management of the Mangwa boys took to social media on Tuesday, February 27 to announce they had terminated their working relationship with Ghanaian trainer Asare Bediako while revealing coach Agbor as his replacement.
The twist has been welcomed by a bulk of the fans of the club who were expecting a reaction from management following their recent poor run of four games with a win – three of which have been defeat.
Coach Asare won seven and suffered defeats in eight of the 17 games he was in charge of the club. He leaves them in the relegation playoff positions.
Coach Asare lasted eight months at the helm of the Mangwa Boys, but a run of poor results upon the recent resumption of the championship amounted to the termination of the contract he signed last June.
Coach Agbor is expected to steady the ship against former club Astres, and continue via the playoffs to ensure that what started as a beautiful season ends in style.
This Saturday’s match day 18 clash against Astres will be a very emotional one for coach Agbor who is hoping to get maximum points at the club he started the current season.
His over 20 years experience as a player and later as a coach of Kohi Maroua, Union Sportive of Douala, LIFCA of Limbe, Cotonsport of Garoua, UMS of Loum among others.
