Budding star Shakira Nyinagahirwa has assured how she will fight on hard to help FWSL champions Kampala Queens qualify to the CAF Women’s Champions league finals.

Earlier this week , the U-18 National Women team captain joined the Kabojja based side on a loan deal from Kawempe Muslim.

Shakira ,was voted the best player in the just concluded FUFA Women’s Super league season where she took the top scorer prize with 12 goals.

In her first remarks ,she hopes to work together with the new team-mates in efforts to achieve the main target.

Kampala Queens are looking forward to break the jinx when they host the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers due to take place in August.

No Ugandan side has ever played at the CAF Women’s Champions league finals. She Corporate nearly achieved the feat only to loose 1-0 in the zonal finals against Tanzania giants Simba Queens.

In 2021 , Lady Doves were ejected at the Semi-finals stage in Kenya by Commercial Bank.

Besides Shakira , Kampala Queens have reinforced their squad with fellow team-mates Samalie Nakacwa and Hadijah Nandago.

The club is expected to make more new signings in order to assemble the best team that will compete favourably.
