As part of their preparations for the 2022/23 CAF Champions League season, Al Hilal Omdurman are currently in Tanzania for the a ten days camp.
The charges of coach Florent Ibenge are taking advantage of the break in the Sudanese domestic league to up their preparations for the group stages of the competition expected to start in the third week of February.
Al Hilal have a full preparations whivh will be punctured by waem up matches against Namungo on January 26, Azam FC and fellow CAF Champions League participant Simba SC on February 5.
All three matches are expected to be played in Dar Es Salaam before the Sudanese side return home to prepare for the trip to Garoua a fortnight from then.
Cotonsport, Al Ahly, Mamelodi Sundowns and Cotonsport are in Group B and get their campaign underway in February. But before then they must strengthen to give themselves a chance to qualify from what many have termed a ‘group of death’.
Al Hilal get their Champions League campaign underway on February 24 at the Roumde Adjia stadium in Garoua,Cameroon.
In a related development, Cotonsport of Garoua announced the signing of four new players last week as preparations for the rest of the season hoping to retain their league and cup titles and have a run in CAF Champions League.
