Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have named Babo Brandon into their match day squad to face Djiko FC this Saturday January 3 at the Limbe Centenary Stadium.
The squad named for the club’s match day four engagement of the 2024/25 MTN Elite Two championship sees the return of Babo after over a year as coach Joseph Mbock Maput adds value to their frontline.
Babo’s last appearance for the 2024 Cup of Cameroon semi-finalist dates back to November 2023 when he started against the same Djiko FC but was subbed off in the first half after picking up a knock on the knee that kept him out for over eight months.
The return of Babo is a major addition to the squad given his experience and achievement so far at the club.
The forward was lead scorer of his club in their interpools winning season back in the 2022/23 season and is widely regarded as someone who can spur the entire squad to perform.
Babo and another experienced campaigners Eben Tomi Mitopen, Tengah Kingsley Tebug are joined by Tabe Melvin on the list of newcomers into the squad in place of Samekomba Richard, Nko Ghangle, Nsob Raphael Martial and Ashu Mbah Kelvin who make way from the last game.
Babo is in contention for a starting role with Akono Mendo, Talikong Elwood Bantar who has all played as center forward at some point in time this season.
So far, ISOHSA counts four points from two outings in the MTN Elite Two championship but could improve the situation if they succeed to get maximum points against struggling Djiko that comes to town with just two points but memories of their brilliant stellar performance last season in Limbe which fetch them a point.
