Axel Ndzana has settled the squabbles around his future and signed a new contract to keep him at Astres of Douala for the rest of the current season.

The 34-year-old who switched from Astres to Canon and was already training with the Yaoundé but unfortunately for Kpakum fans the eight goal defender will not join again.

kick442.com understands parties concerned have settled amicably and the sweeper will return to Astre at least for the rest of the 2022/23 season.

Ndzana who was the Brazilians top scorer last campaign could feature for coach Nicolas Tonye’s team in the days ahead.

Astres endured a tough start to the current season but beat YAFOOT FC in their last league outing though their problems of not keeping clean sheets surfaced during that game.

The return of Ndzana who has also played for Union and Canon could strengthen the defensive efficiency of the Littoral outfit and put them back in contention with the pack of playoffs aspirants.

Astres are currently fifth on the log with 9 points from a possible 21 after seven league matches played so far.
