Christiane Kiki Meva, a young football sensation, has clinched the first Women of Guinessico award for the 2023/2024 women’s football season.

The ex AS Fortuna forward helped Authentic ladies defeat titleholders Lekie Filles 4-2, in the curtain raiser of the women’s top flight competition, staged at the Bepanda Annex stadium on Saturday.

Her assist to Oceane Pierrette opened up the goal counter for the host, with the 15-year-old, finalizing the win at the 56th minute with a phenomenal strike to make it four.

Kiki is no stranger to scoring goals, at AS Fortuna, she was one of the leading scorers with five goals last season. However, this is her first women Guinnessico title. One she dedicates to all her teammates.

“I would like to thank my team mates for the support and to the president (Authentic) for recruiting me. This is my first women of Guinessico title, and I am happy to have received it. I am new to this club, but I am slowly integrating thanks to my teammates’ help. I wasn’t at my best today, but I will continue working to produce the best results in our subsequent games,” Kiki Meva explained.

Authentic Ladies of Douala are aiming for the championship title after last season’s disappointment. Several recruitments have been made to this effect, among which is the brilliant Kiki Meva.
