AJSAC crashed out of the maiden edition of the Cameroon Women’s Football Cup following a 1-7 defeat to Guinness Super League title contenders Authentic Ladies on Tuesday.

Tim Shalom Makoma Ngam, Odette Chahkes, Marie Claire Kibinde gave a little more than the rest as Authentic Ladies of Douala outclassed AJSAC who had stunned Caiman 3-0 in the round.

Hundred of fans who were at the Bepanda Omnisport Annex stadium this Tuesday experienced a display of class from Fagnia Fagnia Fernandez’s Authentic.

Though it ended up being an easy game, it was a very tough start for the eventual winners.

Kandem Blanche put underdogs – AJSAC ahead barely three minutes into the game, making the most of a defensive blunder.

The goal gave hopes of another shocker in the competition, but it wasn’t to be.

Skipper Shalom equalized in the 16th minute, before providing assists to Elizabeth Siliki and Kibinde to put their names on the score sheet.

Coach Fagnia’s team took a 3-1 advantage to the break, but had not shown their best display.

Sinki pounced on a well-taken corner from Chahkes to increase the lead earlier in the second segment, before Kibinde converted from the spot  to make it 5-1 with 14 minutes left on referee Chebe Akwani’s watch.

Chahkes beat Dafna Ngaba on goal for AJSAC with a sumptuous lob from the halfway point before substitute Solange Larkinigam completed the rout with a seventh goal deep into the end of regulation time.

The game ended 7-1 in an afternoon Shalom and Odette scored and assisted a goal each while Kibinde registered a brace to her name.

Authentic Ladies advance to the semi-final, against Ngadeu FFA Ladies who were winners against Benoue FC in their own quarter-final game in Garoua

Louves Minprof, Fortuna edged their opponents to also book a date in the other semi-final to be played this Friday at the Ngoa Ekelle Stadium.

The competition aimed at providing more game time for girls in the build up to the International women’s day is growing in admirers.
