Joseph Mbock Maput pulled another Cup of Cameroon miracle on Saturday, May 25 as he stirred a depleted Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe side into the 16 finals of the competition following a narrow win against Unisport of Bafang.

The Limbe-based trainer who guided Victoria United FC to the semifinal of the national challenge Cup in 2017 and the 16 finals in 2019 delivered another surprise on Saturday at the FECAFOOT Technical Center in Odza.

Mbock guided an ISOHSA team that arrived the match venue minutes before kickoff to a narrow win to become one of rare coaches from Southwest Cameroon to reach the 16 finals of the Cup in three different editions.

Ikose Njuma scored the winner three minutes before the end of regulation time. Despite the pressure in the final moments Coach Mbock’s game management ensured his side organized and secured another Cup victory and a clean sheet.

Coach Mbock who has assumed the technical leader role at the helm of ISOHSA since the start of the Cup has guided his team to two wins in two games without conceding.

Coach Mbock’s ISOHSA will face Stade Renard of Melong in the 16th final some time next week and he will be hoping to be at his best to keep ISOHSA’s dream of going as far as possible alive.
