  •  Aigle Royal of Moungo will resume the second round of the group games without coach Monthe.
  • The tactician has been suspended for two months for alleged serious and repeated breaches of contractual and ethical obligations.
  • Aigle Royal are leaders of Group A with 12 points out of 21.

Coach Joseph Kwakep Monthe has been suspended by the administration of Aigle Royal of Moungo for a period of two months, for serious and repeated breaches of contractual and ethical obligations.

A press release has been published in this regard on Monday, December 4, 24 hours prior to Aigle Royal’s return leg clash with Yafoot at the Japoma Annex A Stadium.

The team, whose lone defeat in the first round was to FC Yaoundé 2, will have to fight for a win without coach Monthe, the tactician who has steered them to their current heights.

With a commanding lead in Group A, the team’s 12 points out of 21 have them perched at the top. The Littoral outfit had recorded three wins, three draws, and one defeat in seven outings.

In Coach Monthe’s absence, assistant trainer Urbain Mbangue will be expected to continue the team’s six-game undefeated streak.
