AFCON 2023: Mauritania’s Amir Abdou picks 27 players for showdown

Amir Abdou, coach of Mauritania has selected 27 players to represent the country in the 2023 Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023.

It will be Mauritania’s third AFCON participation and the country was drawn in Group D with Algeria, Burkina Faso and Angola.

The list sees the presence of 19-year-old Pau midfielder Oumar Ngom and the return of El Hadji Ba who recently joined FC Nouadhibou.

Also, Saint-Trond attacker, dans le Khadim Diaw who has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances in the Belgian league is also part of the Amir Abdou’s list.
