Bafmeng United Football Academy, BUFA, has secured top spot in Pool B of the ongoing national interpools in Yaounde after their one zero victory over Ngaoundere FC.
A 7th minute penalty scored by Hamlet Godson Aghaangwi was all the Ndeghum spear boys needed to move up to 9 points, 5 points ahead of the second placed team.
All efforts from Ngaoundere FC to equalize were dealt with by goalkeeper Leonard Ngam a and the defenders of Bafmeng United.
The defeat leaves Ngaoundere FC with 3 points after three matches played.
Ngaoundere FC will play against Olympique FC Biwong Bane.
In the other Pool B match, Pouma FC and Olympique FC Biwong Bane, OBB, separated on a zero all tie.
Olympique FC of Biwong Bane had the opportunity to grab all three points when they were awarded a second half penalty. Unfortunately the penalty was saved by goalkeeper Boubakary Mohaman of Pouma Football Club.
Serge Mousseni, captain of Pouma FC and Paul Pascal Ombolo of Olympique Biwong Bane were both shown a red card in the match.
Bafmeng United now tops the group with 9 points and is guaranteed to finish first in Pool B, Olympique Biwong Bane and Pouma FC occupies the second and third position with 4 points each while Ngaoundere FC and Krimi FC are fourth and fifth with three points each.
