TP Mazembe Terminates Nlend’s Contract

Former Astre of Douala’s goalkeeper, Narcisse Nlend, has been released from Tout Puissant Mazembe barely decent months after he joined the top tier Congolese club.

The Lubumbashi club has not been convinced with Nlend’s performance since he joined them in January thus prematurely terminating his supposed two-year contract.

Before successful securing a move to DR Congo, Nlend started on tryouts and was convincing enough that the Congolese giants had to grab him from Astre Football club of Douala.

However, the former Cotonsport of Garoua, Union of Douala, Leopard of Douala and Bamboutos goalkeeper who participated in the CAF confederation Cup with Mazembe, will have to leave with no other purchase option at hand.

Nlend, 31, made his debut for the club on February 12 against Real Bamako in a 3-1 win. He counts about five appearances made and in them conceded nine goals.

However, Nlend is just one of the victims of the clubs “clean up campaign”. Equally, the club has parted ways with other old players such as; Jephte Kitambala(FW) Kalaba Rainford(MF)Djos Issama(DF)Koffi Kouamé(MF) and Addam Boussou(FW)

The 2017 CAF Confederation Cup champions is one of the most successful African Cup in the continental scene and Nlend’s satisfying performance leaves the club with no option but to let go.

A quicker solution at this time will be a better option for the keeper who is already above 30 and has played in most of the big top-tier clubs back in Cameroon.
