The Homologation and Disciplinary Commission of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has banned Lausanne Academy of Yaounde from all of its competitions for a year, sanctioned their coach Samuel Cyprien Noufessi for five years in addition to splashing a fine over 19 millions FCFA to different institutions for the violence that happened after the MTN Elite 2 championship game against Rangers of Bafut at the Olembe Annex stadium in Yaounde.
The decision issued this April 28 from the president Nkengni Felix commission orders coach Noufessi to pay a fine of Five Millions FCFA and the club to pay a fine of 10 Millions FCFA.
Two of Lausanne players Yannick Ngono Edou and Andrien Jordan Gnetchou were also found guilty of fueling the violence. Both players have banned from all FECAFOOT competitions for the next two years and each fined to pay the sum of Two Millions FCFA.
Though Lausanne lost the game by 1-2, the body has opted to sanction the results as a 0-2 defeat by penalty and they loss three points from their previous tally.
Lausanne fans molested the team of match officials in the match day 25 fixtures, resulting in the medical detention of Referees Moctar Oumar and Chenwi Celestine.
Going by the decision Lausanne Academy is off the promotion race, which paves way for Dynamo of Douala to join Victoria United FC in the top-flight championship except Dynamo fails to win against Stade Bertoua on the last match day.
Earlier this season, Unisport fans were involved in a similar incident which caused the commission to ban their stadium and order for the payment of a fine of Five Millions FCFA.
