Known for their extreme support, Zamalek’s Ultras White Knights fan group expressed dissatisfaction with the club’s inability to reach the knockout stage of CAF champions league, forming themselves into an angry emoji.

This was exhibited during Zamalek’s game against Sudanese side, Al-Merriekh, that saw about 150 fans dress in black instead of the usual white, and expressed themselves through a designed angry face emoji at the club’s stadium.

The white Knights also took to social media to expressed their bitterness.

“Fury towards the team’s situation and board members who are not suitable to represent our great club”,

Dissatisfied with the outing of these group of supporters, Zamalek’s president, Mansour Mortada has threatened to ban the group.

‘’Zamalek wears white with two red lines and so whoever wants to support us is welcome, but not in black. Those who went to the Al-Merreikh match in black will not be allowed to attend again.” the 70-year-old controversial president currently serving a one-month prison sentence for verbally insulting Al Ahly president, said.

Asides their early exit from the Continental competition, the five-time African champions are also struggling to defend their domestic title as they currently occupy the fifth position in the Egyptian Premier League.

Portuguese gaffer, Jesualdo Ferreira was shown the door last week following the series of poor results, being the second in two months Zamalek sends her coach away. A replacement is expected in the days ahead.

Zamalek are 14 time champions of the Country’s top tier championship.
