Joseph Ndoko camp demands reasons for FECAFOOT’s reported lifetime ban

The camp of former Cameroon U17 women’s national team coach Joseph Ndoko has reacted to his reported lifetime ban from all football-related activities by demanding that the FECAFOOT Ethics Commission provide the written reasons behind the decision.

In a letter dated 20 August 2026 and addressed to the President of the Judgment Chamber of the FECAFOOT Ethics Commission, Ndoko’s legal counsel, acting on behalf of Céline Eko Mendomo, requested that the grounds for the decision taken against Touongo Ndoko Joseph be formally communicated.

The letter states that the Ethics Commission’s Judgment Chamber took up the matter during its 17 August 2026 session and decided to prohibit Ndoko from exercising any activity related to football for life.

However, the document does not itself set out the specific allegations or evidence that led to the severe sanction.

Ndoko’s camp is therefore seeking clarity, with his counsel requesting the decision and its reasons in writing, citing Article 75 of the FECAFOOT Code of Ethics.

The development comes amid reports circulating on social media alleging that the former Lionesses U17 coach was sanctioned over abuse of office, violations of physical and moral integrity, and attempted corruption.

Those allegations, however, are not detailed in the 20 August letter, and the legal document provided does not establish the specific facts or evidence upon which the Ethics Commission based its decision.

The request for a motivated decision could therefore be an important next step in the case, as it would allow Ndoko and his legal team to know precisely the charges, findings and legal basis behind the lifetime prohibition.

Ndoko previously served as coach of Cameroon’s U17 women’s national team before being suspended by FECAFOOT in 2025 following allegations of misconduct.

For now, the former coach’s camp appears focused on obtaining the official reasons for the sanction before determining its next course of action.

The case could generate further developments once the full written decision of the FECAFOOT Ethics Commission becomes available.
