The final match between Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens and Imo Strikers which ended 0-2 in favour of the former decided the goal queen of the tournament.
Ikediuba Peace who had scored three goals Fortress Ladies (1), Castmog Academy (1), and Delta Babes (1) converted the opening goal of the final match.
The goal pushed her above Achifula Harmony and Itaingbene Happiness to four goals which clinched the top goal scorer prize for the striker.
“I feel very happy winning the top goal scorer prize. It means my hard work yielded good fruits. Hard work pays.
Severally, I have been awarded top goal scorer in other leagues including FA Cup in Lagos State.” Ikediuba told www.kick442.com after receiving the top goal scorer prize.
The forward wasn’t surprised that her team emerged as Champions of the maiden Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup.
She said: “I believe my team can win the tournament before coming to Asaba because we have been working towards it because this was going to be the last trophy for the year. We were prepared because we wanted this to be the last trophy for the year for us.
“My future is in God’s hands. In the next five years, I believe I should be in Europe.”
