The 2023/24 Guinness Super League championship will get underway on October 14 with an exciting contest pitting title holders, Lekie Filles against ambitious Authentic Ladies that finished fourth last season.
The announcement was made on Thursday after the league management body released the fixtures for the coming season expected to run till April 2024.
The Authentic versus Lekie Filles clash in Douala will be the first Guinnessico of the season and mark a return to the championship which the center region outfit won last season.
Authentic Ladies will be counting on their close season acquisition of multiple Guinness Super League winner Hassan Ibrahim as head coach to make a difference not only in the opener, but in the whole of their third season in the top-flight.
12 clubs will compete in the Guinness Cameroon SA bankrolled championship for the coming season.
Newbies Dja Sports of the South Region and Ita Mbong of North West Region secured their spots in the big time via the playoffs that climaxed last August in Yaoundé.
Old-guards Éclair of Sa’a and Amazone FAP have registered massive exodus in the close season transfer window but are expected to be apt enough to have a go at all in the championship in the coming season.

The championship will run for just around six months and the winner will back home 10 Million FCFA plus a ticket to represent Cameroon during the 2025 UNIFFAC women’s CAF Champions League.
