Cameroon coach Marc Brys has made two key changes to his starting line-up as the Indomitable Lions host Angola in their decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Yaoundé.

André-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Jean-Charles Castelletto return to the starting XI, replacing the suspended Michael Ngadeu and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, while Karl Etta Eyong makes his home debut in attack.

Castelletto will form a new central defensive partnership with Nouhou Tolo for the first time, with André Onana captaining the side from goal. The backline also includes Jackson Tchatchoua and Aboubakar Nagida as full-backs.

In midfield, Zambo Anguissa, Carlos Baleba, and Arthur Avom start together for the first time, offering a blend of physicality, control, and creativity. Up front, Bryan Mbeumo and Georges Kevin Nkoudou will provide width alongside Etta Eyong, who leads the line in place of Choupo-Moting.

Cameroon go into the match knowing they must win and hope Cabo Verde also triumphs elsewhere to boost their chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

The encounter at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium promises a tense evening, with Brys’ side aiming to secure a vital result in front of their home supporters.

Cameroon XI: Onana (C); Tchatchoua, Castelletto, Tolo, Nagida; Zambo Anguissa, Baleba, Avom; Nkoudou, Mbeumo, Etta Eyong.

Substitutes: Dévis Epassy, Omossola Simon, Patrice Soko, Malcom Bokelé, Martin Hongla, Christian Bassogog, Frank Magri, Danny Namaso, Samuel Junior Kotto, Junior Tchamadeu, Vincent Aboubakar, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Coach: Marc Brys.
