Confirmed as head coach of Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda on September 21, 2023, Ndikum Blaise Tengoh is the Man of the Season for the academicians and yellow submarines of Bamenda.
With YOSA uncertained to play the championship this season, coach Ndikum Blaise had just 10 days to recruit and prepare a team capable of keeping Yong Sports Academy in the Elite One championship.
And YES, he has done it. YOSA will play the elite one championship next season.
Coach Ndikum Blaise guided the team to a 3rd place finish in Group B synonymous to a ticket to battle for the title.
In 16 matches played this season in Group B, Ndikum Blaise and his boys won 7 matches, recorded draws and 6 defeats.
Coach Ndikum Blaise who is a holder of CAF License A hails from Awing, Santa subdivision in the North West region of Cameroon.
He began his coaching career with Azob Strikers of Santa in 2011 before joining FC Bamenda as assistant coach a year later.
He also took charge of the INJS Male football team from 2013 to 2015. Between 2015 to 2017, he was coach of AS Sanaga and Mballa Academy in Yaounde.
Ndikum Blaise Tengoh also worked as assistant coach of PWD Bamenda and head coach of Rangers FC Bafut in the regional league.
Before his appointment as head coach of Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda, Ndikum Blaise Tengoh was serving YOSA, as assistant coach in charge of fitness.
At the national level, he is currently working as the physical trainer of the U20 national football team of Cameroon. The team recently won the gold medal in the Francophonie Games in DR Congo.
Coach Ndikum Blaise is also certified FIFA Fitness coach.
From helping YOSA survive relegation twice, Ndikum Blaise has now qualified the yellow submarines to the playoffs Up in his first official season as head coach in the top flight.
