Since the start of the 2023/2024 football season, Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda entrusted most compartments of the team to youngsters who are building their future in football.
One of them is 18-year-old flying winger Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed.
Coach Ndikum Blaise handed the youngster his second start of the season Saturday November 25, 2023 against Fovu of Baham.
During the match, Mujibu Rahaman’s incursions and pace from the flanks was a nightmare to Fovu defenders.
Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed started the action that lead to YOSA’s penalty that was scored by Nchindo John Bosco.
He also came close to scoring in the first half of the match.
Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed made his debut for Yong Sports Academy against Stade Renard of Melong coming on as a second half substitute.
Coach Ndikum Blaise then handed him a full start against Coton Sports in Garoua.
Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed believes that YOSA is a perfect place for him to build his football career.
“YOSA has given a young guy like me the opportunity to play at the highest level. The setup is good and I think it’s the best place for me to develop my career”, Mujibu Rahaman told kick442.com .
He appreciated coach Ndikum Blaise Tengoh for giving him the opportunity to play.
So far this season, Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed has made five appearances for Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda.
Before joining YOSA at the start of the current season, Mujibu Rahaman Mohammed played for Bafmeng United and Rangers FC Bafut.
